Crossed Love

by Aidan Andrew Dun

crossed love

And so while
vast wanting
begins again
to draw some
outrageous
curve of desire

Announcing
to consciousness
a revolution
sweeping
the world’s
foundation;

And as an eye
follows some new
being of wonder
constantly: distant
utopian objective
dream-figure;

In the heartless
war-machine
of necessity
simultaneously
in engine-rooms
of fatality

Where little
independence
is the fuel itself
something gives
a cough, a spark:
ignition!

Deep in a skull
light flickers
the big idea
unfolding:
you will want
another’s.

Our world
is a container
of duality, the
love here grows
in shadows of
entanglement.

Keep that wheel
at standstill
that messenger
in one place
under armed
surveillance.

Parting is coming
to catch up
with meeting;
all the signs
on the road
pass in a haze.
